Voice For The Voiceless
A VOICE FOR THE VOICELESS
LUKAS believe in speaking up on behalf of those who are suffering, but don't have a voice.
No one can do everything, but everyone can do something.
A Voice For The Voiceless is our way of advocating and supporting organizations that help alleviate poverty, see captives set free and take positive action for human and animal welfare.
A VOICE FOR THE PEOPLE
HOPE: Global is a faith-based, non-profit organization that operates to restore hope and justice to countries devastated by war, genocide and poverty.
Compassion exists as an advocate for children - to partner with, equip, and inspire the Church to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name.
The A21 Campaign exists to abolish injustice in the 21st century through a comprehensive system of preventative measures, victim protection, prosecution of violators, and strategic partnerships.
"Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat."
― Mother Teresa
A VOICE FOR THE ANIMALS
Like us, animals have the capacity to suffer - and a tremendous ability to trust and forgive.
The RSPCA’s mission is to prevent cruelty to animals by actively promoting their care and protection. To achieve this, the RSPCA works to enforce animal cruelty laws and prompt new legislation where required. The RSPCA also operates animal care and adoption facilities, and seeks to raise community awareness regarding the humane treatment of animals. In addition, the RSPCA works with government and industry to establish standards for animal care.
Animals Australia is Australia's foremost national animal protection organisation, representing some 40 member societies and thousands of individual supporters. Animals Australia has an unprecedented track record in investigating and exposing animal cruelty and for conducting world-first strategic public awareness campaigns.
“I don't think using animals for food is an unethical thing to do, but we've got to do it the right way. We've got to give animals a decent life and we've got to give them a painless death. We owe the animal that respect.”
― Luke Munns
“I am in favor of animal rights as well as human rights. That is the way of a whole human being.”
― Abraham Lincoln
“If you want to test cosmetics, why do it on some poor animal who hasn't done anything? They should use prisoners who have been convicted of murder or rape instead. So, rather than seeing if perfume irritates a bunny rabbit's eyes, they should throw it in Charles Manson's eyes and ask him if it hurts.”
― Ellen DeGeneres
“The question is not, "Can they reason?" nor, "Can they talk?" but "Can they suffer?”
― Jeremy Bentham
“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”
― Mahatma Gandhi
