‘Great I Am’ feat. Ashleigh Green is the fourth installment from our Live In Sydney recordings. Written by Ashleigh Green, Chloe Somerfield, Joel Wiseman & Rachel Aracan, Great I Am is a powerful song that resonated deeply with us while Luke was producing their ‘Room For You’ EP at DaySpring Church in Sydney, Australia.

“At the time of recording this song, the lyrics really resonated with me - it was a real kick to the devil, who seems to always relentlessly attack worship music and worship leaders across the globe.

I’d just come back home from the Philippines and as it turns out, someone over there had tried to put a hex on me, and I couldn’t think straight or function properly. Thankfully after some prayer, I was back to full capacity. This song is really a stake in the ground for me in this moment, of knowing and standing firm in my full authority in Christ.

The bridge of the song declares: ‘Darkness cowers, demons tremble, fear stands down, mountains bow in the presence of the Great I Am.’ - which is the truth I so desperately needed to hear.”

🌊 NEW SINGLE OUT NOW - 'Found at Sea' by thelukasband is out now on Spotify, Apple Music and all other online platforms worldwide.

The song Found at Sea, is a super special song to me, as I wrote it originally a while back as an indie rock song called 'Lost at Sea' as a B-side to another single, and to my absolute surprise Ed Cash (Producer for Chris Tomlin, Kari Jobe, Leeland, Bethel Music, Elevation Worship) and Brad O’Donnell, CEO from Capitol CMG contacted me to see who had written it, which absolutely blew my mind.

Recently I heard this remix playing in my heart, and wanted to give the song a fresh wind in it's sails, changing it's name to 'Found at Sea', because being found is better than being lost.

The song is about holding onto God in the midst of the wind, waves and storms that life throws towards us. Never give up on God, never give up on your dreams, and never lose heart.
