WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT LEADING WORSHIP?:
I love that when we worship God and draw near to Him, He draws near to us, so we can seek Him and experience a greater measure of His presence. That's exciting to me!
WHAT DO YOU STRUGGLE WITH MOST?:
I think my desire to have everything perfect… I get really distracted by bad sound, or gear, or parts, or bits of songs or lyrics I want to tweak or fix. I'm learning to accept things the way they are and just worship God and find Him in the midst.
ONE PROFOUND INFLUENCE ON YOUR WORSHIP LEADING:
Mainly my heroes. My Pastor Darlene Zschech. My friends Martin Smith, Brian & Jenn Johnson, Tim Hughes etc. Also Wolverine.
LAST ALBUM DOWNLOADED?
I download LOTS of music, but Taylor Swift's new album 1989 is having a pretty big influence on my songwriting and production methods. Justin Bieber & Skrillex' 'Where Are U Now' is off the chart! Bethel's new 'We Will Not Be Shaken' album is my favourite worship albums at the moment.
SCRIPTURE THAT WON’T LEAVE YOU ALONE 2015:
I think for me the past year has been the busiest time of my whole life. Constantly going from leading at various services around the world to projects in the studio constantly, and I can just get a little overcooked and overtired from serving. God has really been showing me that He cares so much about me and my family and wants to provide times for us of Sabbath & rest - Matthew 11:28-30 says “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” I also love the part in Psalm 23 "He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul." I've seen Him orchestrate such amazing times of rest & refreshment for me. He's amazing!
